Our Staff:
Rusty Pierce
- Rusty is the owner
of White Rock Gymnastics and Flip City Langley Gymnastics.
- He competed for Ontario at
Canadian Championships before attending the University of Michigan, where he competed for the Wolverines Gymnastics Team.
After returning to Canada, Rusty became a two-time Canadian Trampoline Champion, and represented Canada at two World Championships
and World Cup competitions. Since beginning coaching in 1975, Rusty has had success, placing over 20 artistic gymnasts on
the B.C. teams to National Championships, 20 more trampoline athletes to Nationals, and several athletes to World and Olympic
Championships.
- He can coach it all from pre-school gymnastics to world class trampoline.
Sue Pierce - Co-owner
and Program Coordinator for pre-school gymnastics.
- Sue was a member of the Canadian
Olympic Gymnastics Team, and has represented Canada at World Championships, Olympic Games, and several other international
competitions. She has received several honours from Gymnastics Ontario, where she has been named an honorary Life Member.
Gymnastics B.C. has named her a Member of Distinction, and Gymnastics Canada has named her an International Gymnast of Merit.
Sue has been coaching since 1976, and has become a specialist in Pre-School, and recreational gymnastics. Sue has a B.A. in
Psychology from York University and a teaching certificate from S.F.U.

Pre-School and Kinder Classes.
Calina Hosu - Owner and Director of Competitive Program.
- Artistic Gymnastics Choreographer
and 4 event coach.
- Former Romanian National Team member coached by Marta & Bela
Karoly and team mate of legendary Nadia Comaneci. Calina competed for Romania in several international competitions including
Friendship Cup, Balkan Championship and Romania-USSR Dinamo Challenge. She has coached in New Brunswick , Ontario , B.C. and
several places in USA. Since beginning coaching in Canada in 1987,Calina has had success placing many artistic gymnasts on
the B.C. teams to Nationals and over 30 athletes have been accepted with full scholarships to prestigious Colleges in USA.
Before coming to W.R. Gymnastics , Calina has been coaching Junior Olympics levels and State Champions of PA & AZ and
has choreographed a great number of optional beam and floor routines for Elite gymnasts. With many years in the field of gymnastics
and a strong background in Performing Arts (holding a diploma in dance) Calina is ready to start again coaching at the beginning
competitive levels, where technique and expertise is needed the most in building strong athletes.
- Teaches:
Pre-Competitive, Competitive, Dance for Gymnasts, Choreography and Private Classes.
Jeri Henry - Director of after school program.
- Coaches our pre-school program.
- She is a NCCP Leve1 Certified coach and
is a founding coach of White Rock Gymnastics, active during its beginning years. Because of her long history, she knows all
of our "old members" and is quick to get to know and welcome all our new members.
- All
the kids love her!
Sarah
Osborne - Sarah likes to keep the girls motivated by a creative approach to
skill acquisition. She is always researching new ideas to challenge the Rec and Display Team girls.
- Teaches
Rec1,2 & 3 and Display Team.
Laurie Harvey - Laurie was a member of WYMGYM gymnastics club in Montreal and was a provincial level gymnast there. She is
very engaged and has a thorough knowledge of the sport.

Paula Hanson - Paula has been working for the White
Rock Parks and Rec Commission for many years, teaching Parent & Tot, pre-school and recreational gymnastics. She has been
a welcome addition to our expanding staff at White Rock Gymnastics.

Emily Reiner - Emily
is a very fit and seasoned coach. She piked up some new ideas while she was living in Hawaii. She likes to keep her class
moving and working hard while they have fun. She is also a hair and makeup expert active lately on a few movie sets.

- Loves to coaches boys too!
